one - It was 88 and sunny on Wednesday (when I was working). Today (when I’m not working and had outside stuff to do) it’s 52 and raining with a 20 mph wind. HASHTAG THANKS OBAMA
two - My friend who is housebound thanks to his DUI issues has asked me to come watch the Champions League final with him tomorrow, so I guess I’ll be doing that. I feel weird about it, you know, because you have sympathy for the guy because he is not allowed to go out to a restaurant to watch the match, but on the other hand, he did it to himself. So I’ll go, and I guess it will be what it will be.
three - I had to look up Bang With Friends after I saw the article on Gawker. I had no idea. But of course it exists because why wouldn’t it? I can only imagine the problems it could cause.
four - My favorite record store is closing up shop. It’s one of the few good ones out here in the Philadelphia suburbs. DISLIKE.
five - Ask me stuff or send me secrets or tell me whatever?
Deftones - What Happened To You?
Forty years in the winds
I’ve played with you.
For the rest of our days
I’ll remain
The sky is falling down
The night is calling you
A star is burning out
The sky belongs to you
The farther back I stand from this record, the more meaningful it becomes for me.
Josh Homme presides over a dense, textured, unpredictable sound that’s equal parts mystery, intensity, beauty and bluster. Watch QOTSA perform …Like Clockwork in its entirety, then tackle an assortment of older material, in a sold-out show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on May 23.
Tomorrow evening, there’s a live stream of a Queens of the Stone Age concert at 11pm EST on the link above. The new album will be played in it’s entirety, plus older stuff.
